Who is Profhilo® for?

This treatment is aimed at patients who have visible signs of ageing skin. It’s usually for people aged between 40 and 60 years old. However, this does not mean Profhilo® can’t work in younger patients, – it will just have a more of a preventive effect.

Why should I consider Profhilo® ?

We start losing a significant amount of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin after we reach 30. At this age, we should start to consider preserving ourselves. There is no age upper limit either. In fact, in older patients, Julie has often seen more dramatic results.

Can I combine other treatments with Profhilo®?

Yes, if recommended by Nurse Julie, a combination of treatments with dermal fillers or facial threading can assist your results even further. This wouldn’t be all at once as the best results are seen from administering treatments over time.

How does Profhilo® work?

Profhilo® diffuses within the tissue after injection and over the period of 4 weeks it stimulates collagen and elastin. Due to the its high spread ability, only 5 injection points on each side of the face are needed, which means patients find the treatment much more comfortable. Profhilo® uses stable, hybrid cooperative complexes of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) at high and low molecular weights. The characteristics of Profhilo®, remodelling skin laxity is possible in just two sessions by injecting into in the superficial subcutaneous layer of the skin.

Where in the face and body can I have Profhilo®?

Profhilo® is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also effectively be used for rejuvenating the neck, décolletage area, arms, knees and hands.

When will I need my next treatment?

There is a one month – six week interval between each Profhilo® treatment.

What will the results look like after?

Even for those clients with very wrinkled skin, an improvement in the texture is undeniable. The treatment can be repeated after six months in cases where more rejuvenation is desired.

How long will it take for me to see the results?

Some patients have reported that they have noticed a difference within 2 weeks, but everyone is different.

 How long do the results last?

The results from the Profhilo® treatment will most often last for up to 6-12 months, but results can differ for each individual.

Is Profhilo® treatment safe?

Profhilo® was launched in February 2015 and is used by practitioner’s worldwide. Over 150,000 patients have been treated so far with no adverse reactions reported. From a safety perspective, Profhilo® is highly biocompatible because it is made from pure, natural hyaluronic acid and is stabilised without the addition of chemical cross-linking agents which reduces the risk of adverse reactions.
