Why have I got a heavy brow?

Our eyebrow shape and position can make an important difference to how we look. As we get older, the skin tends to lose its elasticity and the eyebrows drop, often causing hooding of the upper eyelid. Even with cleverly applied makeup, our eyes can really give away our age, especially if the eyebrows have begun to droop.

What is a brow lift?

A brow lift involves strategic placement of botulinum toxin injections that will assist in an eyebrow lift.

How does it work?

Nurse Julie will inject the anti-wrinkle treatment in positions around the forehead, in-between the eye brows and the eyes to raise the brow and give you a refreshed, rejuvenated look. Additional injections can be placed at the ends of the eyebrows to help relax those muscles as well and provide a subtle elevation. The amount of lift you get will vary, depending on your age and tone of the muscles that are left active to pull up the now-relaxed muscles. In addition, Ellanse dermal fillers placed about the brow and temple can also have a lifting effect.

What are the benefits of a non-surgical eyebrow lift?

The non-surgical brow lift can be performed on all skin types, and may be particularly effective for people who have naturally-drooping eyelids and low-hanging eyebrows. The brow lift literally ‘lifts’ the skin tissues above and around the eyebrows so that the natural eyebrow arch is a few millimetres higher.

What will the results look like?

The final result is wide awake eyes with lifted brows that still have character and expression.
